After watching literally hundreds of hours of motorcycle videos I have to say the most pleasing to watch is a helmet mounted camera. I had mine mounted to the bars of my Rebel and it just doesnt give a very good scene. If you're an average rider just wanting ride footage for Youtube or Insurance purposes the helmet mount will be best as it will record what you see better and give the viewer the best information.

I bought a custom 3D printed chin mount specific to my helmet for my gopro, then mounted it using an industrial grade velcro material. It works great and I can take it off if I'm not using the gopro. I guess it depends on your helmet though, as I was lucky to have a fairly popular helmet with the RPHA 11 Pro from HJC. Check out www.thingiverse.com and search for gopro chin mount and then add your helmet. If I remember correctly, I downloaded the file from thingiverse then used another site to print the file. |
