Image you have a different handlebar switch on your R1 ( or is an Rn32/rn49 )
I have had one on my 06 R1 and had one on the R1M both worked fine.
The R1's don't need any modifications to the switch on the HPK clutch as it only operates the starting circuit. Using a switchinh relay on the MT10 I can make it operate the Starting circuit and the Cruise circuit as one works with the switch open and the other with it closed.
Hi redgecko59.
I want to thank you for your availability in reading my question.
I am just a new member looking for some answers to the same problem.
I mounted a TWM clutch lever kit on my MT10. I made sure the switch was normally open because I understood that I could bypass the cruise control wires leaving only the Starting circuit switch operable.
Disappointing indeed. I've been trying for over 2 months to solve this problem and I can't. Yamaha Portugal says they can't solve it, but I noticed that in your MT10 the issue of the two switches being operable was solved and everything is working as it should.
So, I would ask you please to indicate the type of switch you have mounted on the clutch lever, if normally open or normally closed and of course, what function is connected to the switch, the type of relay you installed, and how you made the connections.
It was super important, as I understand that this is a very important topic, since all my friends with MT10 and FJR in Portugal, have the same problem. The cruise control is permanently disabled when upgrading the lever clutch kit.
Thanks for your help.
