Are these needed if you get the tune from 2WDW?

Are these needed if you get the tune from 2WDW? Not for my 2020 MT. The flash leaves the unit in a closed position so no need for block off plates. I can’t speak for other model years. Guessing 2017-2021, but that is a guess.

Are these needed if you get the tune from 2WDW? They did my 2019, after they flashed it I can hear something moving down there where the AIS is when the key is turned on. I assume it's something sealing up. It previously had a Moore Mafia flash and they either don't or can't do it. It feels way more responsive and alive now, no more gurgling or popping too. The way I'm understanding it is the people that do the blockoff plates are the ones that are doing it for weight reduction or they're anal about unused parts being removed from the bike. You could even just leave it there on a flash that doesn't disable the AIS and have fun with the backfire on decel at 6k.

But I do enjoy the visceral experience with the pops and bangs.

All day long I get ricers in their GTI's and squids on their GSXR's with shitty straight pipe exhausts coming down my hill sounding like they're firing off guns. It wakes up my sleeping kids and makes my dogs go nuts. I do love the flames coming out of the end pipe but I like the ones that come out gently without the pops.

I'm a hooligan at heart! I had a cruiser previously and it popped and throw out flame, but at 40+ I didn't do it in the neighborhoods.

Popping and backfires are not a good thing to valves. It puts back pressure on them and causes unneeded wear.
