So if order the quick shifter I won't need an ecu flash right now? The ecu flash is only required for the auto shifter? Correct?

I'm not affiliated with this vendor and I invite them to correct me if I'm wrong but The $720 (normally $800) kit comes with both the auto blipper and the quick shifter units as well as the rod. You need to get your ECU flashed for either the FTECU blipper or quick shifter to work. I only know this because my FTECU tuner and auto blipper/shifter kit arrived today and that's what I was told when I ordered all of it.

I was on the phone with Nels when you typed that. The full kit comes with quick and auto blip shifter. Warning, the current Flash Tunes map causes cruise control to stop working on 7 out of ten bikes tested so far. And also causes a few check engine lights. One of our members dropped his FZ-10 off to Flashtunes today and they will have a fix and update soon, probably next week. So might want to wait until you get that update before flashing your bike.

The Fonz?? Good lord how old are you.. sir?? haha I was reading about those issues on another forum and am hoping I'm one of the lucky ones tomorrow. I've read that using the bike side flashing unit results in fewer issues vs the bench side unit and I've also been told that not running the bike at all post mod install but pre-flash will result in some issues like that too... Oh well, I'll find out tomorrow.. I can live without the CC and some error codes until an updated flash becomes available. If I were in a position where I had to send my ECU out to get flashed I would definitely hold tight though...

I would just like to note that I spoke to Nels today and he told me that the issues have indeed been ironed out. I'm considering going the autoblip route $700 for the hardware and $325 for the mail in Ecu flash. This includes all the support I would ever need and reflashing if ever necessary. Now just need to drop coin.
