I picked 'Blue, Grey or Black?' due to me loving the FZ-10 SP livery. But I plan on purchasing the black. I like the SP's colorway as it's a more refined look in my opinion, grown-up and sleek, agressive and ballsy with sophisticated tastes.

I chose gray because..... Daaaaaaaaaam! That's one sexy combination! I've been riding Yamaha my entire 20 years experience and have had many different colors... Black, blue, red, yellow, but never saw anything this sexy! I'm a huge fan of high viz green or "wet highlighter yellow" as I call it. They got the mix just right on this bike! Black is nice too but I now wish I'd waited for the 17 R1 to come out so I could've gotten those colors on that bike too!

I've owned a black bike. Not a fan. No contrast so it doesn't do justice to the lines of the bike, and less visible to cagers.
So, I'm hoping it will be available in 2018 in the states in RED (or blue). It's really hard to wait, as I want one NOW. I'm hopeful that the color choice will be worth the wait.

Black because it was the first one delivered at any dealers in my area. I would have bought whatever option was available first but I'm glad it worked out that way!

Around here (SoCal), there are many more grey than black at dealers.

I think the black looks stealthy and mean, especially with a decent black exhaust added so it sounds a beast as well.
When mine was in the showroom they had all 3 colours lined up and Black got way more attention that the others combined... I also really don't get the fad for primer grey + clear coat looking paint jobs, but they're everywhere.

To me, no question to go with the black. The yellow wheels were a deal breaker for me, way too flashy and over the top. YMMV This could have been a quote from my own mouth. If you told me a year ago I'd be riding a bike with fluorescent yellow wheels I would have laughed at you. hahaha. Same here. However, the dealer had both the gray and black sitting next to each other, and I loved the gray. Didn’t even consider the black. And, while the yellow wheels are a little over the top, I am liking them more every day. They definitely get a lot of attention. I also like individuality and variety. Too many black motorcycles out there (no offense to the millions of black motorcycle owners ✊🏼). I like something that is different — also the reason I like the looks of the FZ-10 overall. And, for variety, I will consider vinyl wrap or plastidip each season just for fun, to mix it up, and keep people guessing.

I bought the blue and black model because they don't sell the SP model in the U.S. for some reason . That Yamaha blue is just so damn sexy to me. I've always loved the Yamaha blue. I do like like the all black model but it's to trendy for me (seems like everyone has the all black model). As for the grey color its just not me, although the yellow wheels look good but I feel like they don't match the grey (to me).

I like the matte gray of the 2018 model. In fact, I'd love to swap the blue plastics (and tank eventually) over to that color scheme this year.

I definitely chose the armor grey over black - it looked so different from anything else I had ever seen! Still in love with it, although cleaning the wheels gets old fast... Yes they clean up easy with degreaser, but it's still a chore... But worth it!

I can't stand colored wheels, so just for that no other choice but black. The blue was a deal-breaker too. Gray wasn't bad with black or silver wheels, but much prefer black anyway, especially on this bike. The red front rotor carriers are a very nice touch, now complemented by the Pazzo lever clickers. Anyway, I almost didn't buy an FZ because couldn't find a new freaking black anywhere. The dealer with the only local one (with 0 miles) finally came to his senses, and accepted my $10K offer, and no need to ship it or anything. Black came back for 2019, but couldn't have bought it anywhere close to 10 grand.

If the matte grey was available when I bought my black '17, I would've jumped on it. I can't stand the armor grey but the matte looks great. I would've eventually powder-coated the yellow wheels. I'm still planning to powder-coat the black wheels on mine, just not sure which color though. I'd like to see how the red wheels on the '19 MT would look on a black FZ.

I wanted the black at first. But got a 2017 leftover grey and high viz. Plan on having small peices painted the dark metallic gloss grey from the black color scheme. Little parts and pieces I think will make it pop more than just flat unpainted black. Fake ram air tips normal grey but tubes dark grey from black bikes. Also rear needs more grey on unpainted peices. Thinking wheels will look good in a dark metallic gunmetal grey as well. Can someone photoshop this for me?

Nothing better than the Blue in my opinion. To be honest, the grey/yellow is so common I wouldn't have considered it anyway.

Had the option of both a blue and black. Went with the blue. I like blue anyways, and i love those rims. Also, i love the contrast between the black tank and the blue fender
