So ive ridden my R6 for the last 12 years using gp shifting, simple unbolting and switching the sides, im still trying to get used to standard shifting but still brain freeze and misshift at times. anyone do the gp shifting on the MT10? looks like i could pull it off, but the spacing between the frame and where i would have to put it seems close and im worried it may rub.
Anyone swap over to the gp shifting?
figured id ask before i go moving things.

Check out BlackClu's build thread. He did GP shifting and I don't think it took much. I believe you have to rotate the top shift arm that are sitting on the teeth that go into the transmission 180 degrees.

I think on the stock equipment, you'll need to flip the arm on the shift shaft 180°. Then, drill and tap a hole on the shifter on the opposite side on the shaft that it's already on.
Does that make any sense? It's too early this morning.

The only thing is if you want to or currently run a QS. If so you need to drill and tap on the opposite side of the pivot for the shifter. Here's a link to a thread where it was discussed and I had written a bit more of what I had to do: fz10.org/post/9307/threadOh, and the other option is a set of rear sets, that will solve the issue. Forgot the name of the most common members have used but it has predrilled holes to remedy this issue.
