So I just got the woolich race tune done on the bike and am quite happy with it. Made more power and torque throughout the rev range and whp is at 162 now. For a stock bike I think that's pretty nifty. Only issue I'm having is now the stock quickshifter is very rough. Like anything more than 10% throttle under 7k rpm I takes it a whole second to shift. This cause the bike to lurch back and forth. Now would an aftefmarket quickshifter solve this issue or is this possibly a mess up in the fueling from the reflash? I can go a hm autoblip shifter but that's another $600 and I'd rather not spend the cash if I don't need to.

Who did the woolich tune? I want 162 whp. The bike I'm buying is supposed to have 152 whp with a 2WDW tune. 10 more hp is huge.

They are called procycle here in Brisbane. They use dyno jet dyno. I think stock fueling it did 152hp atw. So 162.18hp now and 84.22 torque. I messaged them about the quickshifter and how even using the clutch there seems to be a delay from when I get back on the gas to it actually getting back on the gas.

Also keep in mind that's peak power. The thing I'm most impressed with is that it gained like 4 to 8 hp more through the rpm line all the way from 3k. There's like a 2cm gap between the two lines on the screen.

Get race tools added. This comes with Woolich QS and auto blipper. There then set up on the dyno to make sure it's silky smooth.

I might need to look into this...I have the FTECU auto-blip and flash from 2wdw. I'm not disappointed with power, but I think I have 152 rwhp...that's enough ponies for the places I ride...more torque and a silky smooth throttle is what I'm searching for. Curbing these ridiculous wheelies is my big homework assignment. Sure...I know bikes in this category should wheelie...on this bike it just seems to be a problem for my riding style. I'll get it sorted with some major adjustments and time on the bike. I've only owned it a little over a week. I do love the bike...so that's pushing me forward with all the mods and money I'm going to put into it. It's already pretty loaded. See below.
R1 forged magnesium wheels Galfer wave rotors R1 master cylinder Steel braided brake lines Graves smog block off plates ECU flash Auto blipper for clutchless upshifts and downshifts (also have a quick shifter that is not being used) FJ09 passenger foot pegs (much better than stock for passengers) Yamaha comfort seat Radiator guard Givi windscreen SW Motech rear rack Shad top case mount for the rear rack. SW Motech frame sliders SW Motech gas tank bag mount already installed (bag doesn't touch paint). You can buy any SW Motech bag and it will snap right on. Custom revalved forks and revalved shock by Evolution Suspension in Santa Clara Yoshimura exhaust Y Series slip-on with Y pipe Cat eliminate. Fuel controller (perfect fueling no matter where you go and better gas mileage) Michelin RS tires Black aluminum levers heated grips Rhino bar ends Galfer ceramic backed brake pads Tank pad bar end mirrors

So bit of an update. It seems the 2018 mt10 have a different fuel map to the older models. The quickshifter is tied into the fuel map and is non adjustable so once you change its fueling, the quickshifter gets poopy. Procycle tried to trim the fueling a bit and make it a little leaner. All this did was move the shitty quick shifts further up in the throttle range. She is going back there on the 21st to get the custom map put back on and the race tools package as well. Will post once it's done what's its like. Also with the power, I was told with a full exhaust and airfilter my bike would crack 170... Don't think I need that lol.

Dont use the quickshifter.
Once you get used to doing the shifts yourself with throttle chopping the quickshifter is kind of pointless anyways.

Don't get me wrong, I can shift perfectly smoothly with the clutch. I just love the quick shifter and it makes it easier to get home while holding a McDonald's meal drink. Will be even easier once I get the autoblip 😁

Oh I know about that method too. I can't get it at smooth as I can with clutch. I could on my z1000 but not on the Mt. The zee had a lazy gearbox and engine though so it didn't care, could take off in sixth gear on that thing and it wouldn't care, just had to ride the clutch for a couple seconds lol. Either way in a week's time it will have the race tools on it. Il set it up so it's usable and smooth in all rpm from 3000 onwards.

The quick shifter is great, came standard with my MT10, I thought I'd never use it but it won over first ride. Why would you chop the throttle with every shift when you can change up and keep the throttle open and the revs high?

Yeh it came standard with my one too, and was great until I had the fueling done. Now it's rough as hell unless you above 7k and on it. So hence the need for the woolich shifter this coming Thursday.
