Mine is just over 1600 miles, purchased it with 748 on the clocks (ex demo bike), so I have only done circa 850-ish miles on it since getting it 2 months ago. Actually, reading that back to myself I really need to get out on it more!!

0 miles as of now, but haven't bought it yet. Ha ha. Hope to close a deal on a new black leftover ('17) tomorrow. Have been after it for months, but only dealer in town didn't want to deal. If they accept $10,000 and I pay my TX taxes, will pick it up tomorrow. They offered $10,400 last week but I said no. Missed a couple of 0-mile black bikes for $9,500 a few mnoths ago, so I drew the line at 10 grand. Still have to get a comfort seat, quick shifter, Graves slip-on, tidy tail, and many other cosmetic mods. If I find a good used one, I'd buy one. If not, at least at 10 grand shouldn't lose too much on a '17, but I'd still lose at least 1,500 bucks, I think. Plus TTL. Still ouch! Will look at the classifieds here after sending this. Nothing worth jumping into on cycletrader.

Just clicked over 11,000 this past weekend. I bought a new Tracer 900 GT for commuting duty to keep the miles on the FZ limited to fun only miles. (I know, pretty much all miles are fuun miles on an FZ10, but you know what I mean!)

I've got under 5k...I alternate between my bad ass 09' FZ1 and the new kid on the block to keep the miles low on both. I will say that I'm not worried about mileage on the FZ1...a gal on the FZ10A forum has over 300,000 on a stock motor...never rebuilt. These suckers can rack the miles up...I hope the FZ10 is just as reliable. Oh...my 09' FZ1 only has 9k. Who's from the bay area in California? Who's also on barf? (Bay Area Riders Forum) Trying to get some FZ rides together.

I'm in the Bay Area, but not on BARF. I'd be glad to join an FZ ride!

Hey FZ10minesrdripper, question for you, since you're the perfect candidate : How does the cross-plane crank FZ10 engine compare to the 'normal' FZ1 in smoothness and power delivery? Since the FZ10 was neutered for the US market, it should be almost identical in power to the FZ1, but wondering if all the hoopla about the cross-plane engine is really noticeable or not, especially if it's smoother than an inherently vibey I-4, and if it also delivers more torque down low than a normal I-4. I wanted to stay away from I-4s due to their high-frequency vibes putting my hands to sleep readily now that I'm in my 50s, but if the FZ-10 is indeed noticeably smoother, that's the bike I want. Don't want to make another $10K+ mistake if I can avoid it . Many thanks brother.

I only have about 650 miles on mine so far. I bought it on Aug 4th. I have taken a couple of rides, but mostly commuting miles.

But from my recollection, stock to stock the FZ10 has a lot more linear power for sure ( and to me, a much more enjoyable power band). The FZ1 would rip in the higher RPMs. I would say the 10 is definitely smoother. And the crossplane hoopla? I have the FZ10, a '13 R1, and the new Tracer 900 GT. I've got 3 of them! haha I love them. They might not be as overall powerful as some of the other makes, but I love that linear power of the CP4's and 3's.
