So I am wondering what I need to do to my bike and have gotten myself very confused. I deleted my cat and put on a two brothers exhaust. I dont have any popping at all like zero right now and have road about 250 miles since the change over as well. I did notice a dead zone in 1st and 2nd gear where my bike feels like it falls on its own face between a few k in the rpm and then ramps up extremely fast even in the 3ird mapping. So i was thinking of getting the ECU flashed to clesr up this spot up and of course give me more power and smoother response overall. I have block off plates for my bike and a K&N ait fliter as well. Now if I am gettimg the ECU flashed that it will close my AIS permanently do you need the block off plates? I dont want any codes going out on my bike if I do this and as I love the cruse control too much so need some help.
I also left the servo plugged in after the cat delete. If I get the ecu flashed can I remove this safely without a code or a servo budy ?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I find it hard to believe that these bikes fall flat on their face under any conditions unless there is something wrong with electronics or mechanical issues. If it doesn't pop or gurgle on decel you're one of the lucky ones and block-off plates aren't necessary. An ecu flash will disable the AIS and again, you won't need block-off plates. However, block-off plates do make things neater in that are of the valve cover. I did decide to go with block-offs because I was getting popping and backfiring from my Delkevic 3/4 system, but I'm also one of those guys that doesn't like to have unnecessary shit attached to my bike so I took the whole AIS system off. I don't have an ECU flash so I had to go with the Smart Moto block-offs that include the resistor plug that you connect to the factory AIS socket when you disconnect from the AIS (so no codes even without ecu flash). Eventually I will get the flash but my budget right now doesn't allow for it. If you K&N your intake you will definitely want to get the ECU flashed because I don't think the stock fuel ECU maps will compensate for the extra air entering the engine and it will run like crap, especially with your Two Bros installed. Sorry I don't have a before pic of the AIS! Oh, and the resistor plug can be seen in the lower left hand corner of the pic.
