Just curious what people have paid if you've gone to the dealer and not done it yourself. Thanks!!

Did the 4K service/inspection myself.
Downloaded a manual and there were some things I checked out on youtube, just to make sure.
You can get Valvoline Full Synthetic 10W-40 Motorcycle Oil at Wally World for under $7, got the filter at the dealer. I may have the dealer do the 8k if I feel the bike needs to have the throttle bodies sync'd too.

It's just inspection stuff which you can do yourself. And changing the oil and filter is easy and it gives you an opportunity to get down there and make sure everything is ok in the engine room. If it's running ok I see no need to pay a dealer for an inspection service.

Do the recommended carb sync at 4,000 miles. You can buy a Carbtune Pro for $135. Watch the videos on YouTube, it's pretty easy to do. On my bike, the carb on the far right side was way out of sync. It ran noticeably better after the sync.
Pro-tip: make sure you only have around a gallon of gas left in the tank before you sync the carbs.

I'm guessing you meant "throttle body sync" since our bikes are FI.

And yet still no answer to the original question. I guess I'm the only one lazy enough and with extra disposable income? There are some great private shops in my area that are ex Yamaha and Kawasaki mechanics that get perfect reviews from their customers. Thinking that's the way I'll go.

Not sure if it's comparable, but I'll be paying $260 Australian for my next service this Friday.

anyone know why the Euro MT-10 manual lists the interval at 6k, whereas my owners manual lists the interval at 4k?

I think mine says 10,000km which would be roughly 6,000 miles? I think I'll give it an oil and filter change at 5,000km in between each other service.

No, but the service manual also has services every 6k. With synthetic oil, 4k seems needlessly frequent, so I'm inclined to follow the service manual maintenance chart. anyone know why the Euro MT-10 manual lists the interval at 6k, whereas my owners manual lists the interval at 4k?
