I was wondering, before going to the trouble of running wire from my handlebars, under the gas tank and into one of the fuse blocks, if there are a couple of wires near the front forks that I could tap into to power my GPS. The KTM 990 that this used to be wired onto actually had two aux circuits behind the horn that could be tapped and fused for power. Wondering if there was something like that on the MT10.
I've done similar wiring on an FZ1 and an FJR but I haven't figured out how to get the tank off of this bike yet.
Thanks

There's a cigarette lighter adapter at the front of the bike you should be able to plug into.

There's a cigarette lighter adapter at the front of the bike you should be able to plug into Two reasons why I have not opted for this. 1. the Zumo 660 mounting wire does not have an adapter for that socket. I could, of course, just go to o'reilles and get one to solder onto the wire ends of the mounting wire. But.... 2. I really want to leave that socket for charging my phone and maybe ipod.

I tapped into the wires from that socket, remove the false air intake and follow the wires from the socket, lots of room to tap in to the wires, i used posi tap connectors. www.posi-products.com/posiplug.htmlVery easy to use, i have used them for a few years now with out problems.

Hmmm. I could give that a try. I'm pretty sure that a GPS and an iPhone won't tax the fuse protecting the power port.
Thanks

I just put Zumo on mine and used the power outlet, I made my own harness using most of the Garmin stuff. It works perfectly
