No problem! The fan temp change is HUGE. My bike was so warm no matter what weather I was riding in. Now it's much more tolerable. Of course EXUP was nice, saved me money on a servo buddy. AIS was crucial when I went to a de-cat. Was shooting huge fireballs on the dyno haha.

Hindle evolution supersport carbon Full pipe or decat + muffler? Are you just ordering for the R1? I don't see one available for the FZ-10.

Yeah the R-1 requires remodification of the heel guard as it would get in the way of install.

299 US with shipping??i n from canada....how many tines for shipping?? Danyboy: as a fellow Canadian, trust me it's worth it to pay for the shipping. Chance are you'll only need to do it once or twice. The first flash is so much better than stock you'll be happy you did it. I rode down to Nels' shop from Vancouver BC yesterday; 3 hours (each way)of a cold, boring Interstate 5 ride because I knew it was going to be worth it. My racing friends have gotten their bikes set up by him so I knew 2Wheel knew what they were doing. After the flash ( stock exhaust ), the ride home was much more enjoyable!

Hello from new a new member in Vancouver, BC. I just wanted to get the word out on how great my new FZ runs after getting it flashed by Nels yesterday.
I’ve been riding for almost 40 years, I’m an engineer, blah blah blah, and liked doing things myself so in the past I flashed my 09 R1 and 2015 R1 on my own. But I’m from the NW (two of my friends race) and I knew how good Nels’s reputation was; Also I read about forum member gord1895’s experience with his beautiful grey FZ, so I figured: ‘don’t waste time, take it to the pros’.
From the way I was greeted by first Nels then by his tech Pat, I could tell they ran a classy joint. Super friendly and cool.
While waiting a few minutes for my appointment , I listened in to them serving a customer on his 1000 Ninja ( map and QS ) and another with a FZ10 that was that was getting an autoblipper installed and set up ( to hear that autoblipper run on the dyno was orgasmic). I already knew they had the technical chops down. The thing that stood was how much they cared. They want to make the customer happy- they encourage question asking (when it was my turn I asked a lot). Super cool.
On to my bike: I didn’t run it on the dyno because it’s still new. I will ride down another day for that…before the flash I was disappointed how the FZ wasn’t as smooth as my 2015 R1. ‘Don’t worry’, said Nels. ‘We’ll fix that’. And he did! Changing the timing and getting rid of the restriction smoothed it past 6000 rpm, where to me it didn’t feel as nice as my R1. Just blipping the throttle at idle, one can tell how much happier the motor is.
My CDN$ exchange rate now isn’t very good, even with the generous discount to FZ10 members; it cost me over $400. However I won’t hesitate to strongly recommend 2WheelDynoWorks service. I would give them a 10/10. The bike is a different animal.

Is a block off plate necessary for this tune? I imagine it won't really be necessary because the O2 sensors are going to be disabled?

Block off plates help keep the exhaust from having air pumped into it via the air pump. It'll cut down the backfire popping on deceleration. We recommend them as it also means weight savings that you gain by removing the air pump.

So here is a noob to flashing question from a guy who has always done a Power Commander.
I understand that a dyno run specific map with also be the optimum way to get performance but with the flash of the ECU, is this also setting up the A/F Ratio and fueling so the bike doesn't end up running lean or rich?

Yes that is exactly what it does. Also you should add the Active Tuner kit. This will continue to optimise your fueling every time you start the engine. That's damn right! Members of FZ10.org and only FZ10.org members are getting a $50 discount on the FZ-10 147 hp tune! To get the $50 discount just call them at (425) 269-5332 and give them your forum username, Nels will verify with us! This tune includes disabling the 02 sensor, and gets your stock exhaust FZ-10 to 147 hp and smooths out the fueling and improves B mode. Also includes lifetime free tune updates in case you add/change exhaust or make other engine changes! Wow!!!! Normal price is $349.00 FZ10.org member price? $299.99!!! Thats a $50 savings. Add 14 ponies to your bike for only $299.99 plus free updates! Nels can walk you thru removing your ECU, send it to him, he flashes it and sends it back same day! Send it in on Monday, get it back and be kicking ass by Saturday! Thanks 2wheeldynoworks and gord1895 ! Stock Exhaust 147 hp tune 150 hp Hindle exhaust tune

I took advantage of the Black Friday deal and already paid for the service. I'll be sending my ECU on the 16th.
A couple questions come to mind. 1. I installed the Yamaha quick shifter. Will the flash accommodate this software input for operating the quick shifter? 2. I've been reading that the ECU install and o2 sensor disconnect needs to be done in a particular sequence to avoid fault codes. Can someone describe the sequence for the group? 3. If I use dealer service at some point in the future, is there danger of them re-flashing the ECU back to stock? 4. I've heard the flash may void the warranty. Has anyone experienced this (or experienced no effect on warranty?)
Thanks. Jeff

On Questions
#1 - I recently got mine flashed and had just installed the factory QS, no problems before or after. You are going to love it!
#2 - They disconnected the O2 sensors while the ECU was removed and being flashed, and left them disconnected. Again, no problems or codes for me.
Don't know about #3, but highly doubt the stealer would touch your ECU. They don't have the equipment required for flashing, or have the know how IMHO.
#4 - don't know, but I do know Nels can return your ECU to stock, if need be.
Hope this helps.

A lot of dealers in the Seattle area send bikes and owners to 2wheeldynoworks. And there are magnuson laws in place in the United States. Dealers would have to PROVE that the flashed ECU program actually caused engine damage. I have hundreds of guys on fz07.org who have flashed their ecus with 2wheeldynoworks and have not heard of anyone that had a warranty voided because if it. Talk to your dealer and see what they say.
