To fit R1 rearsets a couple things to keep in mind.
1st they will change your exhaust mounting point (I have a Yosh 3/4 system from an R1 so no worries there) 2nd they will require an R1 rear master cylinder (they have different bolt spacing and thread size) also will need to finesse the position of your reservoir line 3rd they move the foot position up a bit , so much so that my heels hit the passenger pegs (had to remove them) on the plus side GP shift with the OEM R1 Quickshifter Woodcraft Clip on Risers 1 Inch rise
The Up position and down position both require very specific positioning - Left side= of the clutch perch and left control box (the instructions cover most) - Right side= The brake Master cylinder has a specific distance needed as well as the banjo bolt has to be removed and rotated past the anti rotation pin on the Master Cylinder to angle it for clearance The throttle cables also need to be rotated properly to ensure they don't bind on the brake reservoir or anything else ****I want to try the Nissin MC from the R1 soon and hope I wont run into clearance issues****
One thing I found helpful for clearance that might help ease frustration was.... loosening the front 4 bolts that hold the plastic/tiny windscreen on and popping the inserts out of the rubber grommets and leave them out and tightening the bolts ,essentially moving the outer points of the plastic out (where the controls tend to hit when turning the bars left to right stops.
I have rode the bike about 15 miles and the position is a nice compromise between handlebars and clip ons.
I found the bars to be lacking on the track and I think this will be a good In between.
