I just had my 10’s Ecu flashed by 2wdw. The only engine mod I have is a k&n filter. My gas mileage dropped significantly. Currently averaging 20-21 mpg. Anyone else have this issue ?

I have the flash but have yet to ride it. 2wdw said as long as I’m out of the gas and driving normal mileage shouldn’t be affected. Can’t actually confirm if this is the case though. Are you getting into it more than usual? Though they told me that I still am accepting of the fact that gas mileage will take a hit. Just the nature of the beast pushing more fuel through and making more power.

I took a hit with an ECU flash but 20 MPG seems extreme.

I can only seem to get to about 100 miles before my low fuel light comes on and that was before the tune. If its significantly worse than that I will not be happy lol

You won't be able to get your money back, so good luck. I never even sent mine in, and couldn't get a refund. Offered me $60 as a good faith offer, but still would have had $200 of mine. Never did get the $60 either.

I’m satasified with the 25mpg city , I’m usually a little aggressive of the line and the hwy mileage seems above what Yamaha advertised at 30mpg The throttle response and the smooth effortless get up and go is worth it for me I didn’t buy for gas mileage , just hooligan fun and a occasional trip. I think 2wdyno will reflash back to the OEM flash for free

With my normal ridding style which is just a little aggressive but mostly laid back, I’m getting around 30/31mpg after the flash. I have no issues with these results and my gas light never comes on before the 100 miles mark. Usually comes on around the 105 mark.

I feel like mine also may be abnormally low. I had the flash done on my 18 with 5 miles on the bike, but I've only put 350 miles on since due to terrible weather. I'm going to start logging mileage and today I filled up at 341, so I'll report in this weekend with my findings.

34 mpg before, 31-32 after.
Did you unplug your 02 sensors?

My o2 sensors are out and I'm using the active tune system. I'm thinking it's my imagination and I'm getting ~30 (as should be expected) but I'll fill up tomorrow and see.

I have not unplugged my o2 sensors... I’m guessing that’ll solve the problem

In case anyone is interested -- I'm getting 27.5-28.5 mpg.
Graves EVR, 2wdw flash with active tune installed. A bit lower than i would like cpnsidering the majority of my miles are hwy, but i guess thems the breaks. Glad I knew mileage would be bad before getting the bike, but it makes me miss the mileage on my sv650.

If I'm railing I get 22-23. I think the tune may actually help slightly as I won't need to rev it so hard. Going to send it out tomorrow.

I can only seem to get to about 100 miles before my low fuel light comes on and that was before the tune. If its significantly worse than that I will not be happy lol After reading this thread (I want to have mine flashed and could care less about MPG) I started resetting the trip meter at every fill up. 5 full tanks now and the light comes on nearly always between 70 and 80. I’ve only gone to 14 miles on the low fuel trip to where it was spitting and sputtering so getting 100 miles total out of a tank would be impossible it seems. Trade the MT-10 and get a true touring bike. Want to be a hooligan? Forget the mileage IMHO

I got about 135 miles before the reserve light at the Hill Country recently, while having a blast in the fast sweepers, and railing the twisties at the 3 sisters. Of course I wasn't dogging it (except some roll-ons once), but no need for that in my case; just aggressive enough to have a lot of safe fun. There're few gas stations there. I got to a gas station on reserve several times, using up to 20 miles of reserve, so a bit unnerving.
No way in hell I'd consider a tune, since it's pretty obvious MPG goes down; the only question is by how much, since the whole reason of tuning is to make the AFR less lean, meaning adding fuel. And with precise throttle control, it's not needed either IMO. The range on my bike is barely acceptable the way it is. Wish it had at least 1/2-gal more, but it is what it is. And yes, to get that mileage I fill up above the bottom of the neck, but since it was quite hot, not much higher. So I'd say my bike has a best range of about 155 miles... but when I need that range, of course you can't ride like a hooligan .

I'm flashed with cat delete and aftermarket air filter hardly getting 20 mpg based on my calculations. I also don't drive like grandma.
