I'l be rolling like that for the rest of today. Thanks for the Vid. Also, the state cemetery lies at the end of our street and I text while riding just fine. FTD! Stay safe, texting while riding is asking for trouble. Too easy to run into problems by taking your eye off the road for more than a second or two. Stay focused.

Before heading out today, minus the can, I put together a video with Decibel X levels. The difference between stock MT-10 with and without can. Ok, so today I removed the can and went for a ride. For me, the volume in DB's without the can is perfect. No need to decat my bike. I'm glad I tried this but I still need a can. Does the stock can have baffles? and can they be removed. I know the Akrapovic slip on is just straight through but wouldn't that result in a similar sound to what I'm getting with my stock can removed? (it's not what people with this setup suggest)

Some thing else to consider , copy and paste from my answer on the UK MT site : I gutted the original cat box, and use the original end can, removed the exup and had a ecu flash and custum remap at junction 33 near Lancaster, it was running lean with the the cats removed. Its not the best set up if you want to increase the maximum BHP, think i gained 4 or 5 HP, but through the rev range it is much improved. As for the noise level with this set up, louder than standard but not as loud as the aftermarket decat pipes i have heard which are just to loud for me, and i'm a fan of meaty sounding bikes. Plenty of second hand cat box's come up for sale, and its not that difficult to knock the cats out, just lots of brute force. Id di the same thing, 1st went decat with stock can, too loud. Then went decat with Graves shorty which has more baffling then the stocker, was still way too loud but much deeper tone. So then I gutted the cat and put it back on with stock can, didn't like the tone but was halfway between stock and decat IMO. So I put on the graves can and bingo! Perfect for me, great sound, deep tone. I do have a set of Titanium R1 headers installed so the only thing that really bugs me is color difference between the nice blue titanium and the ugly SS... oh well for now. I am flash tuned btw and no exup no AIS. Tom

I did a decat the first week I had the Zed , with a Yoshi alpha Ti. The yoshi actually turns the volume down quite a bit. The decat with stock can made it unbearably loud. It literally hurt my chest to stand beside it when revving.

Hey there... just wanted to add to the answers already posted. I have done my whole exhaust... sounds really nice with the db killer installed... loader than stock... yes but not stupid loud. Only thing is that you will need an ECU flash or Power Commander to tune the bike. The tuning was the best move I have done to date... Makes the bike so much nicer and easier to ride . Cheers

I just purchased the Leo Vince Cat Eliminator mid pipe. Leo Vince Cat EliminatorI am going to hook it up to the stock exhaust and then have the ECU flashed. I'm hoping this will keep the exhaust from being to stupid loud since it has a small resonator on it.

Also caused my nieghbor to become a police informant against my bike ๐ ๐ ๐คฃ Might be worth while going on the run organised below: I'm going, been thinking of the Yoshi Alpha , decat and then get a tune (prob Woolich if I get all inspired). But I have the stock panniers on and I don't think it will fit - be a good time to have a look at what some others have done and a sound comparison. Go with the A&R baffle kit easy to install louder than a slip on but not over the top all for a couple of hundred bucks
