Hi,
How well does the FTECU quickshifter with autoblip work in real world street riding (for me anyway): not always shifting up under full throttle or at maximum revs, downshifting with the throttle not closed all the way, or other non-race conditions?
Thanks for input!

I don't have any personal experience input but it seems like so much money just to use for street. I do nothing but canyon carving and I don't even feel it to be worth it. Maybe a quick shifter because it's plug and play but the real purpose of these it to shave off mere fractions of seconds per shift to help you save time at the track and when racing. I think average rider does a shift in 600 milliseconds. Clutch less aupshifting is half that. And quickshifting is like only 50 MS. That time really adds up at the track and when racing. For street they don't have much practicality unless you're really riding agresive bouncing off redlines. They're just more of a luxury feature for the everyday rider.
And you're not even supposed to use quick shifters when shifting between first and second. I presume it's same for autoblipper.

I'm with RedandBlack, as a racer, I LOVE a QS and after getting used to it, I miss it on the street. I will be getting the full set up for my 10, but I will be putting LOTS of track miles on it as I control ride and ride track a lot.
But on the street, the auto blipper is a total waste. So is self blipping, when you are coming to a stop light or something. Yes, it can help you get smoother for when you would use it on the track, but it has no actual application on the street.
That being said, I have ridden a 17 R1 with it on the street and it works well. You dont have to be at full throttle to use a QS, safe bet is over 50% and over 6000 rpm.

I recently ordered an Autoblipper and looking forward to testing it out when the weather gets warm. Personally while its not something I need, it is something I want and have wanted for awhile now. If I were to buy a brand new bike today I would want this feature along with some others that the 10 doesn’t have. Similar to the technology they put in almost all cars now (back up camera, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and so on..) they are not necessary but nice to have. It’s all personal preference if you want it but definitely not needed unless you are determined to get better track times. To each his (or her) own.

Let me know how you like it after install. Cheers, MrHix

Is it normal to have to grab a little Throttle and then roll off the throttle for each auto blip downshift. With my FTECU Auto blip I have. To do that for each down shift. I cannot just step on the shifter and push down at high RPM. It only Blips if I roll off for each down shift. I think it's wrong but I have no idea how to fix it. Full on Full Throttle Upshifts work perfectly fine. It is a 2019 MT10. Any help would be appreciated.
