Just finished up installing my hindle 3/4 system I got from 2wheeldynoworks. It sounds awesome and yes its pretty loud. Here is a quick video of it. Doesn't do it any justice, but will give you an idea.

Nice looking setup but, dang, that is loud. How is it out on the open road?

I don't think it's bad at all. Honestly love it. Now granted I have a shoei gt air helmet which is very quiet. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. My wife road behind me on her grom and confirmed it's loud when riding behind the bike.

Do these come with an optional baffle? I ordered one this am but forgot to ask Kirk.

I too have the Hindle 3/4 exhaust. After several rides, I ended up ordering the baffle insert, this reduced the sound to barely being any louder than stock.
I've got a Arai Signet Q helmet, and at lower speeds/rpm, would drone inside the helmet, to the point of needing to wear earplugs.
I then ordered Hindle's euro oval stealth muffler, this seems to be the perfect balance, you still hear that great CP4 sound, it's just muffled a bit more than the Evolution muffler. I got the euro stealth muffler after it turned cold, so I haven't taken it out for a lengthy ride yet. This spring, I hope I'll find that there is no more drone inside my helmet.
Can't winter go any faster......!

How does the Hindle Y-pipe mount to the collectors, doesn't seem like any clamps are being used? I've been searching for a good picture of it online but can't find any. I even downloaded Hindle's installation instructions but there aren't any pictures there either. I really like the looks of the Hindle and good price point but would also like to understand how it stays together.

The y-pipe has hooks for a spring-type mount, but obviously the stock header doesn't have that type of hook. When I asked 2WDW about it, they said nothing is used. With the back half mounted, there's no way the exhaust can accidentally come off. Just make sure you use a good exhaust paste/gasket maker to make sure the seal is good, since it is somewhat loose. I was looking at buying some clamps, but i haven't yet. The rest of the connections are held in place by springs.

For an update, I have now had a chance to take the bike out and found that with the euro-stealth muffler, the exhaust no longer resonates in my full-face helmet. So, for me, the euro-stealth muffler was the perfect choice. Still much louder than stock, but not so loud as to resonate in my helmet.

I ended up getting a 14" muffler instead of the standard 12" that you get when you order the 3/4 system.

That longer muffler looks good. I'm not sure I'm ready to spend the extra money to quiet it down, I'm kinda liking the sound she makes with the standard muffler. But I'm an old rebel anyway so guess that's just my style. If its too loud then your too old. I'm almost 60.

But I'm an old rebel anyway so guess that's just my style. If its too loud then your too old. I'm almost 60. When I originally purchased the exhaust with the Evolution muffler, I also ordered it with a 14" muffler, so I have never ridden with the standard 12" Evolution muffler. I loved the sound of the Evolution muffler too, and it may have just been the helmet I have that is causing the resonance issue. When I rode without a helmet, I was perfectly fine. When I rode with the helmet, the resonance inside the helmet was terrible. I think it has to do with the tone of the exhaust, not necessarily the volume. The euro-stealth muffler is nearly just as loud as the Evolution, but the sound is slightly more muffled. I think this slightly removed some of the deeper tone, which is what was resonating inside my helmet. The euro-stealth isn't much quieter, but I think it does remove a little of the lower frequency tone of the exhaust. So I think the euro-stealth muffler had more to do with "quieting" it down than adding 2 inches to the length of the muffler did.
