Does anyone know the size of the socket needed for the rear axle nut? I would like to tighten my chain but can't find the size anywhere.

32MM is it, I also have a torque wrench when I do it as it requires about 130lbs of torque when retightening.

Does anyone thing 140 ftlbs per the manual is a little too much for the rear axle I don't want to put unnecessary stress on the bearings

So I have LightTech chain adjusters and torque at 90ft lbs per instructions. I really think that 130-140 lbs is a bit overboard, but that is the spec, in my experience I think in or around 100lbs is ok, but don’t want anyone to think that is gospel.

Isn't Lighttech recommendation 100NM?? Was on my instructions Hell I can’t remember. I use 90lbs want to say it’s like 87lbs, but just rounded up if memory serves me. See edit below. Edit per LightTech:TOURQE YOUR REAR AXLE NUT TO THE LIGHTECH SPECIFICATIONS, (which calls for 100nm or 72ft-lbs). I’ve been wrenching on bikes and vehicles for most of my adult life, born in ‘67. 90-100lbs is a standard torque average for almost all wheels I’ve put on most of my life. It’s in my head and what I use. Feel free to do whatever you feel safe doing. I’ll just say that I’ve never had anything fall off. Maybe I’m just lucky. I know before I installed the LightTech’s I torqued the wheel nut to 130lbs. I have to say it was a bit overboard IMO. Probably best to stick to the required torque set by manufacturers. Believe LightTech states the lower torque because they were breaking at the manufacturer settings. Here is a standard chart for wheel torque.

I also have Lightech adjusters and do the same thing. 90ft lbs which I think is enough also I read somewhere that someone torqued it to specs and that broke the Lightech adjusters doing so
