Curious for anyone that has been flashed. Is removing your O2 sensor really needed or is it more to clean things up? I assume since the flash turns them off leaving them installed has no effect on the bike. Just curious in preperation for my flash.

i was told that if they stay connected then they could interfere with the tune, but in my case they had to come out as the Woolich Race Tools QS and Blipper plugs in to one of the O2 sensor plugs and the input to the ecu is re assigned to make it work. Which it does, brilliantly.

Interesting I figured if they were disabled they wouldn't be utilized by the ecu

Had my bike flashed and set up on a dyno, he used one 02 thread to plug his dyno in and the other 02 censor was in place ..... so if they are turned off i cant see how they interfere with the tune, the fuelling was set with censors in place.
Had the 02 censors turned off by the way.

That's what I was thinking. I'm going to contact Nels today and find out for sure. I'll post the answer when I find out.

Talked to Nels today and was told I need to at minimum unplug the sensors. Didnt ask why but I assume it must still try to take readings from them and adjust the tune to factory parameters.

Anyone have a plug for the harness so you can remove the sensors, rather than just tie them up. Also, which o2 plugs did anyone use?

Which o2 plugs did anyone use? Should be the same size as the 2015 and up R1's, 12mm for the stock narrowband sensors. Don't forget to get sealing gaskets as well.
