I didn't see this thread. I typically check "Recent Threads" so maybe thats why.
So, I have a question. We know that the FZ10's suspension is ideal for the 150-180lbs range (not exact, but closish from what I've read). Would a only a heavier spring fix most of that issue for a rider in the 6' 3" 260lbs range. Or would that require a full aftermarket suspension like the Penske option?
Also Nick, the last two links point to the same location(brake lines kit).

A heavier spring would help for sure. Regardless of what shock or fork you use, step one on ANY bike is ALWAYS to get the right spring. Doing so will ensure that you're operating in the right part of the stroke, that the chassis geometry is what the original designer intended, and that ride comfort and control is maximized.
Now that said, will it be enough for you? Depends. The shock has its inherent limitations that a spring won't fix. You'll find a much firmer ride that will border on harsh, but you'll find the bottom of the stroke less often (a good thing). Reason being, the rebound circuit will need to be closed off quite a bit to control that heavier spring. Given the cross-talk that occurs in this shock (compression damping increases as rebound needle is closed), you'll end up with quite a bit more compression damping. Something to be aware of.
There's other reasons to consider going aftermarket, as well (real high speed compression adjustment on the 8987, ride height adjustment, better damping curves, more spring rates). As always, it comes down to budget and expectations. We've set up hundreds of shocks on various bikes over the years. Only a handful of owners have wanted more after the shock upgrade. In most cases, they were on the wrong bike to begin with.

willbuybikes: Hi evitzee, thanks for responding, it looks like the switch has fixed it. The luggage wasn’t full, it worked fine and the bike handled beautifully through the tight, twisty roads. The luggage is Ventura from NZ. I had a professional setup my suspension.

willbuybikes: It seems to be worse when it is full of fuel and opening the filler cap changes nothing. Apparently the dealer bench tested the fuel pump and said it was fine.

willbuybikes: I believe the switch replacement has fixed the cruise control problem. As for the starting issue, I suspect I will have to wait another 6 months to see if it is fixed, as we are heading into winter. I always assumed it was fuel related.
