Are maps readily available? Or would you have to send the ecu to a tuner to flash a map suitable for say a full exhaust?

Are maps readily available? Or would you have to send the ecu to a tuner to flash a map suitable for say a full exhaust? The software comes with all the necessary maps for all flashable bikes on the market. It has several different maps for several different bike set ups from stock to race set up for the fz-10. If you want to tune a map custom to your bike you can do it with this software, I'd say this software is more suited to someone who is good with programming or understanding fuel maps. I am not so I can't do anything else with this kit other than flashing a new map and removing restrictions/fault codes/fan temps/etc. The map I am currently running is the graves full exhaust (silencer removed/stock filter) map, and the bike is much happier with it. I also lowered the fan turn on temp and the bike runs much cooler in stop and go now. I got this kit so I could change maps any time I put the silencer in for a touring trip and keep the bike running properly. I don't ever have time to tour now... So I don't use it.

Im pretty sure that that tuner is "married" to your ecu. Anyone planning on buying this should know that they would have to buy a "license" to tune their ecu which is $100. sorry but if i was in the market for one of these, i would want to know this info. especially considering that your asking price plus the license is well over the brand new price.

Wow.. I just did some poking around the ftecu site and found where it says it can only be married to a single ECU... well that's great. Guess I'll be hanging on to it then! Thanks for the heads up, would have been a pretty unhappy purchaser..
