First off, sorry if this isn't in the right section. It seemed like the right section. So, I've got most of what I want to do done flashing wise, but I can't seem to find the little tab to disable the EXUP valve. The valve motor itself is big enough that I can stick my gopro in there when I go into work. It's almost like they forgot to add it in since it's on all the R1 flashes but not the FZ-10. And I really don't want to buy a servo buddy and take up some room that could be used to store my gopro. So, my question is for those have done the flash kit, what have you guys done to disable the exup valve? I could probably flash it like an R1 ECU and lower the rev limiters but I'd rather not.

The MT10 files suck. R1 is completely developed, the MT10 files are completely stock. They forget even the option (EU File) to disable AIS. It wasn't even possible to run with Activetune. This is my solution to remove the exup (and O2, also a checkbox who's missing). upload picture

If my bike could travel at the speed of light, would my headlights work?

Block offs are still necessary to eliminate the popping. I have a US ECU with Flashtune and Active tune works perfectly. What issue are you having with that?

I have a '16 EU-spec MT 10 + FT ECU with Activetune and it's hesitating/shocking in 6th gear. It also pops sometimes (I have to install the blockoffs).
This is my story: Like the manual says: connect the Bosch lambda sensor to the left lambda connector. Is it necessary to: - remove the original right lambda sensor also? The manual is too short. - turn of the error codes (DTC) P0030 and P0050? The checkbox in FTECU Software is missing, and the manual, again, too short.
I'm running now with an error: P062F. The bike also hesitates in 6th gear. My settings, EU unrestricted map: top speed limiter disable: true injector cut disable: false accel retard control disable: false ais valve disable: true
I've tried a couple of settings now. I'm still getting P062F, Generic Internal Control Module EEPROM Error. I've disabled the DTCs: P0030/P0050 (O2 removal). I've also disabled: P0476/P048D/P048E (Exup removal). Why is the option to disable it not available like the 2015 R1? And US harness config? I can not use/try other files. I still can not use the 6th gear, it's hesitating/shocking with the throttle steady and with using the cruisecontrol. On the dash you can see the ECO light is going on and off while it's shocking. I don't get my one month old bike running like it should be. I'm disappointed, and hope you can help me out.
I've also made a ticked @ FT ECU for this.
FT-ECU isn't the best buy for the MT10: go Woolich or something else.

I actually finally got around to calling FTECU today and figured out why they don't have the option to disable the EXUP valve on the tuning suite dashboard. Apparently Yamaha removed the option for 2017. So you just have to uncheck the code boxes like shown above. Then you can yank thay stupid little black box and have a little bit of storage space.

I had FTECU flash done on my way home picking up my new bike and Graves cat elem exhaust. They did a Graves flash and turned off EXUP valve and I think its the AIS valve that goes to intake. I removed the EXUP valve and didn't need to install block off plates, no popping on decel. No tank removal. No light displayed on guage. Works Great

Old thread, but wanted to confirm this is working for me on a 2018 MT-10. I removed the entire EXUP system and unchecked diagnostic codes P0476, P048D, and P048E. So far, all is well. Thank you oerknal
