Something about Chris just comes across strange in his videos. mean actually setting up a pops and bangs tune that's known to destroy exhaust valves is dumb honestly. Plus I can't take anyone seriously that runs a bike on the dyno and then SHUTS THE BIKE OFF while the roller is still rolling at ~100MPH. That's how you cook a trans on motorcycles. The engine oil pump also lubes the trans. Engine not running = no oil pumped into the transmission shafts and gears. the customer is not always right, but the customer may always be your customer If they know the risk, give them what they want? Mine had a MM flash when I bought it, bunch of gurgling and that 6k decel bang. I called them and found out that they do a reflash discount and also don't disable the AIS. When I talked to 2WDW I believe they said free reflash and they do disable the AIS, but I could be remembering wrong about the reflash. I just asked them to give me smooth clean power and that's exactly what I got.

Ah, that makes more sense. Well, if you don't block off the AIS, and you disable the fuel cut eliminator to make on/off throttle transitions smoother, I guess that is just a natural by product. He might call it that but is he actually tuning the bike in such a way to add more of it? Pretty much any bike I have tuned over the years, which is close to 40 between my wife and I... if I didn't disable SAI, I got popping and crackling on decel.
Next time I pop the tank up to do something, I will unplug the AIS hose from the airbox, jam a greased up marble in it, and reconnect it. That will cut down on the popping a good bit.

Watching his videos he disables it but somehow makes it enable if you just ever so slightly crack the throttle. So if you keep the throttle fully closed it won't do it. You need to juuuuust crack it for it to pop. I know before my flash it would only do it either to 4k RPM or under 4k. I can't remember now lol.

I sent my ECU hack to have the piece of shit FTECU blipper enabled and they did it for free and even updated the base mapping for free as well. Only thing I paid was shipping to get it there.

This is absolutely normal with 22+ MT10.
I had my ECU flashed by 2WDW a couple months ago and had the same issue. They explained me that whenever the ECU gets worked outside the bike on the newer models, it’ll throw some codes when putting it back on but they’ll clear after 2 drive cycles. My OBD would read the codes but not clear them because of the new ECUs or whatnot but like the folks at 2WDW said, after 2 drive cycles everything cleared on its own and it’s been performing great ever since. I have over 1k miles since the flash and no issues whatsoever

Talked to a few tuners who think that the days of tuning and flashing our bikes, are numbered. Next 3-5 years we might see all that go away, as EU and other governing bodies start laying heavy fines and penalties down on bike and car makers who do not lock down their ECU's and make them tamper proof. They will start to encrypt the ECU's, and probably use some sort of eFuse, where if you try to tamper with it, it will brick the ECU and require a trip to the manufacturer to unlock and restore it to use. Sounds crazy, but I am betting that such things are coming sooner than we think... But I will say, that I was able to clear the codes with the Torque Pro app on Android. Maybe it being an app, it has later and more often updated definitions and things, that a handheld might not?

So I like my tune on my bike, however I could live without it too. The freaking 1 liter bikes really don’t need any more power if ur on the street, yes making it sound cool and reducing some of the quirks are good, but not really necessary. Track bikes are a different story.
If I buy a new bike I’ll probably just leave it alone. Maybe I’m getting too old to fuck with em anymore.

My bikes are ridden hard in the mtns and I also do the occasional track day on them. All of them. I track a new ZX14R, and have been out there on Monsters and stuff. I took a Z900 RS retro out on Road Atlanta and it was a hoot! I also have a 2022 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 decked out with Ohlins and K-Tech racing suspension, a damper, and tuned to 104hp a the wheel, and I am gonna take that thing out there. I will get slaughtered on the straights, but it will bea riot bombing around a large track like that, on a souped up Bonneville. I will be 51 this summer. I told myself I would leave this one alone and just ride it, but I really can't help myself. lol Here is me on the retro Z900RS trying to catch my step-daughter on her ZX6R. It is fun to ride slower bikes fast...

so if i share my experience with mt 10. i had a similar issue, cel coming on after mid pipe and servo buddy installed. when cel is on, modes did not change but bike ran.
i tuned the bike, but still had same error of cel turning on after a while. so i took out the servo buddy, put the servo motor back in(without the cables) bike runs fine now no cel no need to delete from obd scanner. the servo buddy seemed to be the culprit.

You can't remove it like the first gen bikes. Apparently that applies to the servo buddy thing too after reading your post.

Yup, Chris Moore told me the same thing, that there is something hard coded into the ECU, where he can disable the O2 and exhaust valve... but if you unplug either of them, the cruise control stops working.

Well, here is an interesting update. After my two handheld scanners failed to reset, I went and grabbed by bluetooth ODB tool that I use to flash and tune my Triumphs and Aprilia... Plugged that into the dongle that goes to the red plug, and then bought the $5 Torque Pro app on my Android phone. Connected, pulled codes, cleared them and it worked! Cycled the key a few times and the bike fired up. Now, one thing I noticed is that there are no codes in there now, but, the dash doesn't let me go into the settings and I cannot change ride modes... I seem to recall my 2022 R1 did that when I put it on the dyno... It saw the back wheel turning but the front not, and it kicked an ABS code or something, and I had to just ride the bike for like 20 minutes for everything to recalibrate or whatever... then I turned it off, restarted it, and then I could change ride modes and get in and set the clock, etc... Do you think that is what's going on here? The bike is running now, so there is that. But I can't set the clock or change ride modes, power mode, etc... Do you have a make/model of the OBD reader that did clear the codes? Got a similar issue with my mt07 in which I can’t get the codes to clear with a series of readers
